Cologne

semi-overcast 26 °C

29th July
Arrived late into Cologne (1030hrs) instead of 0830hrs dueto loss of one of the engines on the ship.

Took walking tour with local guide "Oute" who was animated and very good. Came back to the ship for lunch (what's another kilo ot two?) and then headed back out on our own to visit St Apostela (Romanesque church), a protestant church and the Cologne Cathedral. The size of the cathedral is indescribable, it is enormous!

Before entering the Cathedral we stopped for coffee and listened to a small group of street buskers (a violinist and two piano accordianists). They were very good, it suprised us that a lot of people just walked by!

Hey guys sounds great - have you figured out photos yet? Go to "My Control Panel" and click "Upload your photos" (make sure you make them small before doing this or it will take too long to upload). In the top right corner click "bulk upload" if you have more than one to put up. Then when you are writing the entry, there is a button that says "IMG" (just above where you write). Click this, select the image and it is inserted (in code) where your cursor is. Give it a go!! (just make sure computers you use have virus protection!!!) x

It sounds as those you should have sore necks and not to think to much about the weight, it's all the experience. Life is moving on slowly but at a pace, Ray enjoyed a few days snow boarding and he caught up with Russell on Saturday 2nd. Sounds as though Michelle has the clues on the computer, kids are just so clever these days. Are you enjoying the ship board life!! and have you been invited to the Captains table yet?
Till we hear from you again
Love Jan
